Sunday marked Undefeated Magazine’s 2nd Texas Elite Amateur Boxing Showcase held at the Azteca Fairgrounds in Houston, and the crowd in attendance certainly got their money’s worth with a plethora of action-packed amateur fights with a lively Tejano concert thrown in for good measure.

Tasty food treats such as brisket sandwiches and Mexican delicacies from the vendors kept everyone happy as the paying customers could sit back, relax and soak up the warm weather and enjoy the ferocious ring action that took place inside the confines of the four turnbuckles. (continue reading…)

Undefeated Fight Club Opens in Houston

HOUSTON, TX, April 3, 2011 — March 26th and 27th marked the grand opening of the Undefeated Fight Club located at 5263 Barker Cypress, Suite 100, Houston,Texas 77084.  The project is the brainchild and proverbial “labor of love” from its proprietors, Rosemary Acosta-Clark and Michael Campbell, who also own and publish its two sister enterprises; and the only magazine devoted to the local boxing and MMA scene, Undefeated Magazine. The two day event was a star-studded gala featuring home-grown boxing dignitaries such as: Juan “Baby Bull” Diaz, Marcus “Too Much” Johnson, and Alfonso “El Tigre” Lopez.
mj3The 5000 square ft. gymnasium and multimedia center is located in west Houston a short distance off of Interstate 10, thereby making it a convenient destination for fighters and combative sports personnel traveling in from Austin and San Antonio.  The facility is replete with an abreast of the times boxing ring with lighting, all new punching bags, floor mats and video interview facilities.  The endeavor is the first of its kind in the Bayou City, and hopefully will give Houston boxing a much needed shot in the arm as the local fight scene has been somewhat stagnant and underachieving in recent months due to various reasons.
