Crowned, and then uncrowned, IBF Junior Lightweight champion Rances “Kid Blast” Barthelemy (19-0, 12 KOs) is having two reactions to the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry’s decision to change his January 3 title-winning and devastating KO over former, and now current, champ Argenis Mendez to a “No Decision.”

“First off, I could not disagree more,” said Barthelemy. “This decision to take away my title is a terrible one. The referee did not call a foul that night, so how can a commissioner over-rule him by watching TV, weeks later? I am better stronger and more talented than him and I knocked him out. Cuba’s IBF #2-rated Rances “Kid Blast” Barthelemy (18-0, 11 KO) is well aware of what’s at stake tomorrow night when he faces Thailand’s IBF #5-rated Fahsai “Mountain Boy” Sakkreerin (39-3-1, 21 KO) in the 12-round super featherweight main event on ESPN Friday Night Fights, tomorrow night (Friday, June 21) at the Minneapolis Convention Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

The winner will win the right to face Dominican champion Argenis Mendez in a mandatory title defense in their next fight.

MIAMI, FL – The official weigh-in for Friday, January 4′s “Friday Night Fights at Magic City” professional boxing event, presented by Warriors Boxing and Bad Dog Productions in association with the Magic City Casino, at Stage 305 in the Magic City Casino in Miami, Florida, will be held on Thursday, January 3 at 5:00 pm at Brickell Luxury Motors, located at 590 SW 8th Street in Miami, Florida.
