Female World Title Fight With Daisy Lang on the Undercard of Gomez and Klitschko: Fabian Weber |
Dusseldorf - 15 July 1999. The attractive female boxer Daisy Lang will complete a Championship boxing event promoted by Universum Box-Promotion in Dusseldorf this Saturday, 17th July. Main events are the fifth title defense of WBC Cruiserweight Champion Juan Carlos Gomez, 27-0 (22 KO4s), against his challenger Bruce Scott, 21-4 (15 KO4s), and an explosive Heavyweight matchup featuring Wladimir Klitschko, 27-1 (25 KO4s), against Zambian Joseph Chingangu, 14-4 (10 KO4s). The German based Daisy Lang, 7-1 (4 KO4s), will fight for the vacant WIBF Jr.Bantamweight Championship against Gizella Papp from Hungary. The 27-year-old Lang is a former Karate and Kickboxing World Champion and currently holds the European Bantamweight Championship in professional boxing. The charming blond Lang, who counts Scandinavian-American action star Dolph Lundgren as a friend, could be described best as the European version of Mia St.John, who is an attractive and popular female fighter in the US. Lang's only professional loss came against Michele Aboro - arguably the best female boxer at Bantamweight worldwide. After giving away a decision to Aboro, Daisy Lang won four fights straight, two of them inside the distance. The three main events will be televised live in Germany by DF1.
