Hamed-Kelley Preview

by Boxngrules

Next Friday Night, you will see a very extroardinary fight on HBO between "The Prince" Naseem Hamed and Kevin Kelley.

Hamed will be defending his WBO Featherweight title. Hamed is best known for his flamboyant trash talk, and flashy ring entrances. In my opinion, Hamed needs to shut his mouth before a good fighter comes by and shuts it for him.

Hamed's ring record is 28-0 with 26 KO's, his extraordinary amount of KO's gets him a second place spot for highest knockout ratio of champions today.

Kelley comes in at 47-1-2, with 35 KO's. Kelley's only loss was to Alejandro Gonzalez when he lost the WBC featherweight title. Kelley is the current WBU featherweight champion, but the title is not on the line.

Also on the card will be Junior Jones, who is fresh off two wins of the a boxer who was thought to be invincible (Marco Antonio Barrera). He will be facing Kennedy McKinney who is the former IBF Jr. Featherweight champion.

Jones will be defending his WBO Jr. Featherweight title. Jones will easily win because of McKinney's unimpressive performances in his 4 most recent bouts (against Barrera, Nestor Lopez, Vuyani Bungu, and Hector Acero-Sanchez).

I say this would've been a great match about 2-4 years ago. Jones comes in at 44-2, with 27 by KO, McKinney is 36-3-1.
