Fight Night XXVIII Saturday,
June 3rd at 7:00pm
Undefeated Jesse Reid Faces "Irish" Ed Dalton
Dateline: Rochester, WA, May 9, 2000
Powerful unbeaten Cruiserweight Jesse Reid (9-0, 6 KO's) of
Westminster, CA
will face former IBA World Champion, "Irish" Ed
Dalton (20-5) of Boise,
ID, in a 10 round main event at the Lucky Eagle Casino on June
3rd. Dalton
was the winner of the 10 round main event in April with an
exciting
unanimous decision (98-92, 97-93, and 97-93) over Shawn Jewell.
Reid also
defeated the popular Jewell in a 6 rounder last December (60-54,
60-54, and
58-56). Both fighters are known for aggressive, attacking
styles, with
Reid the power puncher and Dalton the "in your face"
manner with an iron jaw.
With contracts still being negotiated additional bouts scheduled
are
Cruiserweight favorite Shawn Jewell vs, Spokane's Frank Vasser in
an eight
round match up. Ed Dalton has defeated both Jewell and
Vasser. In
another eight rounder lightning quick Don Juan Futrell
(15-2, 9 KO's) will
face Daniel Renoso.
Females return with Susan McDaniel of Boise, ID against Washington
product
Layla McCarter. Fight Night XXVII "Fan Favorite
Boxer" Hugo "Bazooka"
Elacio will return to fight Jamil Hodges and Tacoma's Mike Waters
will take
on Jeff Simmons in a five round bout. Mike Lucero of
Portland is awaiting
an opponent.
Actual fight card opponents will be announced as information is
completed. Georgino is looking at 7 bouts and 40 scheduled
rounds.
Fighters are subject to change and contract approval by the
Washington
State Boxing Commission. Changes will be announced as they
occur.
