TYSON MANIA SET TO STRIKE?

The official press conference announcing the Mike Tyson-Frans Botha heavyweight fight will take place in Los Angeles on December 8.

WORD FROM SHOWTIME CHIEF

Fighters.com received the word from SHOWTIME exec Jay Larkin at 1:30 PM ET Wednesday. "The press conference will be in L.A. on December 8, officially announcing Tyson-Botha," said Larkin who continued. "The fight will take place in the MGM Grand Garden on January 16, with Showtime Entertainment Television handling the Pay Per View broadcast."

NOTHING FROM INDIANA

Of course, this would all be moot if the state of Indiana gets involved and revoke's Tyson's Parole which doesn't expire until March of 1999. But knowing Larkin, and he is no dummy, Jay would not be going forward to
announce this fight if he wasn't assured Tyson would be available for the promotion.
