NINA "THA BOMB" AHLIN SHUTS OUT GOODSON IN NEW ORLEANS
Press Release

November 24, 1999

NEW ORLEANS, LOUISIANA - NOVEMBER 27, 1999 - Nina "Tha Bomb" Ahlin (5-1-1, 2 KO’s) electrified the crowd at the New Orleans Arena in Louisiana last night with a shutout four round decision win over a game but overmatched Sarah Goodson. All three judges scored the fight 40-36 in favor of "Tha Bomb", who is an Atlanta Falcons cheerleader when she isn’t dispatching opponents in the boxing ring.

According to Rodney Mallett of The Baton Rouge Advocate, "Ahlin…showed superior boxing skills in winning the decision…For most of the bout, Goodson swung wildly with her right hand and Ahlin would step back and land combinations to the head.

Nina’s bout, which was part of an exciting seven bout card televised by ESPN2’s Friday Night Fights, was promoted by Leslie Bonano.

From KO Magazine - February 2000 issue - "Perspective" by Ivan Goldman

"During a show at Las Vegas’ All-American Sports Park the night before Trinidad-De La Hoya, Andrea Blevins threw silly roundhouse punches for four rounds at Nina Ahlin, who slipped, countered and dominated her with straight punches. Mister Magoo himself would be able to see Ahlin won at least three if not four rounds. But local judges Dalby Shirley, Lou Talbot, and Patricia Manning scored it 39-37 for Blevins, proving there’s no shortage of optically challenged officials in Nevada."
