NINA "THA BOMB" AHLIN LOOKS TO KEEP HER UNBEATEN STREAK ALIVE AGAINST CHRISTINA VAN RAVENSWAY ON AUGUST 20 IN BATON ROUGE

August 18 - Nina "Tha Bomb" Ahlin, world ranked strawweight contender and proud owner of a 3-0-1 record (with two first round kayos!) puts her unbeaten streak on the line Friday, August 20, against Christina Van Ravensway in a scheduled four round bout at the Argosy Casino of Baton Rouge.

Ahlin, an Atlanta Falcons cheerleader, has impressed observers with her crowd pleasing style and knockout power. She has stormed through three opponents, and has only a controversial draw to blemish her record. Van Ravensway, an Arkansas native, will be making her professional debut.

Ahlin, currently ranked third in the world by the prestigious IFBA, has made a big splash in the exciting world of women’s boxing. She has been featured in Women’s Boxing World and Lady Sports magazine, as well as in Electronic Boxing Weekly, The Cyber Boxing Zone, The Women’s Boxing Page, and The Women Boxing Archive Network. The August 20 card, promoted by Leslie Bonano, will feature a 10 round heavyweight battle between Clifford "The Black Rhino" Etienne (8-0, 6 KO’s) of Baton Rouge and Abdul Muhaymin (19-14, 13 KO’s) of Cleveland. The co-feature is an eight round super bantamweight contest between Donovan Carey (13-2, 3 KO’s) against a yet to be determined opponent.

The six bout card will also showcase two more female fights, as Gina Nichols (9-3, 8 KO’s) takes on Britt Van Buskirk (5-2, 1 KO), and Mary Haik (5-6, 1 KO) clashes with unbeaten Heather "Hollywood" McVey (5-0, 4 KO’s). Both contests are scheduled for four rounds.
