The wedding-cake sternwheeler known as the Emerald Queen Casino in Tacoma was transplanted several years ago from the Mississippi delta and moored in a quiet prong of Puget Sound. One of the most glamorous casinos in the Northwest, the Eemrald Queen is kicking off the new year in its new shore facility with a pro fight card on Saturday night, January 6. This local club show is promoted by Brian Halquist and the matches were made by the ubiquitous Bob Oleson of Beaverton, Oregon. The line-up for Saturday is as follows:

Seattle veteran Tim Shocks meets Albuquerque vet, Eric Holland, in a 10 round main event for the Canadian/American/Mexican (CAM) supermiddleweight title. Matchmaker Bob Oleson is the founder and proprietor of the CAM sanctioning organism.

In a middleweight 6 rounder, Brock Stodden of Bremerton, Wa takes on durable Scott Lansdon of baker City, OR.

On the undercard:

A cruiserweight four features Michael Sams of Boise, ID making his debut against Shayne Stoddard, also of Boise.

A four round welterweight match pits Robert Mansfield of Bremerton vs. Eduardo Mendivil of California.

A lightweight women’s four round re-match is scheduled between Jessica LaPointe (1-0) of Washington against Jamie Day (0-4) of Salt Lake City. LaPointe won the first go round, but matchmaker Oleson says it was such a good fight he thought there should be a repeat.

Also; Heavyweight Cody Gray of Seattle is set for a scheduled four against vs. Charles Boettcher of Sioux City, Iowa.
