talent; He officially lost but four bouts during his career; Jack
Dempsey and Mike Gibbons were two of the men who defeated him; Even
his "No Decision" newspaper verdicts were nearly all wins
He possessed good height, reach, movement and hitting power and was
skillful in almost all aspects of the game; He won a number of
Amateur Championship of the Pacific Coast
contests during his career
