Northwest Boxing Association Cruiserweight Title Bout to be Held Saturday Feb. 3

The Lucky Eagle Casino in Rochester, WA and matchmaker Bennie Georgino host the longest running series of live professional boxing shows in the Northwest. The team offers their thirty-first show---Fight Night XXXI on Saturday, Feb. 3 starting at 7 p.m.

The 12 round main event features 38 year-old veteran banger Rudy Nix, The Haida Warrior, (19-4-2, 18 KO’s) of Yakima, WA. Nix meets 28 year-old Reggie Roberts (11-2) of Grand Rapids, Michigan. At stake is the Idaho-based NWBA cruiserweight belt.

Scheduled for the Undercard:

A pair of Oregon Super Middleweights are scheduled for four. Undefeated Damion Hatch (3-0, 3 KO’s) of Bend, OR fights William Kirwin (1-1) of Portland, OR.

In a Jr. middleweight 6 rounder, Chris Huntwork of Portland meets Fabian St. Pierre of Las Vegas.

Mike Lucero of Portland is scheduled for a Jr welter six round bout with Dewey Wellever of Tacoma, WA. Lucero’s ability to meet this weight is in question and matchmaker Georgino says he has an alternative fighter in mind in case Lucero has to scratch out.

Quick 122 pounder, Angelo Torres (2-2-1) of Tacoma is set to meet Russian Edward Utorov (6-4) fighting out of Las Vegas.

A lightheavy four rounder pits Portland’s Jeff Simmons (7-1) against Tex Miles (4-6) of Spanaway, WA.

A lightweight debut for Norman Campbell of Las Vegas sets him against Steve Loury (1-0) of Westminster, British Colombia.
