LOUIS JOSHUA EISEN

BIOGRAPHY

 

Well-known boxing writer and historian Louis Joshua Eisen has written about and appeared on air, giving detailed analysis regarding current boxing events and boxing history for a variety of sources, from Ring Magazine, the prestigious International Boxing Research Organization Journal, The Toronto Star newspaper, CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Corporation), ESPN Radio,  The Official Manny Pacquiao website, TSN (The Sports Network) and KO Digest.

 

Eisen is a proud member of the International Boxing Research Organization, and on the selection committee for the International Boxing Hall of Fame in Canastota, New York.

 

Eisen is currently working on his first book, Boxing’s Greatest Controversies, while continuing research for his next project, a biography of Canadian boxing great George Dixon, the very first black man to ever win a world boxing title.

 

Mr. Eisen contributed to, The Big Book of Boxing Lists, written by the late award winning boxing writer Bert Randolph Sugar.

 

Mr. Eisen appeared in the movie Cinderella Man, playing Ray Arcel. He shared the corner with his surrogate father, Boxing Hall of Fame trainer, Angelo Dundee. Dundee mentored Eisen on all things boxing for many years. Mr. Eisen also served as the boxing historian for the film to ensure that the boxing scenes were historically accurate.

 

Eisen was also director of PR for Lennox Lewis’s boxing promotional company, Global Legacy Boxing.

 

Lou is often a guest on ESPN Radio and Canadian television discussing boxing’s colorful history along with boxing today and upcoming title fights and current fighters.

 

Lou currently resides in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
