Fulljames was a clever, scientific boxer; His father owned a saloon in England (called "Old Horseshoe") that was frequented by Tom Sayers, John Heenan, Tom King and Jem Mace

During his career, Fulljames defeated such men as Sam Bittle, Mouse Olbright, Pat Gallagher and Billy Trotter
