Choi was a talented fighter who won 32 of 37 bouts and scored 19 knockouts; At a time when he appeared to be reaching the peak of his career and following an exhausting fight with Heri Amol, he collapsed and died a week later; During his career,he won the WBC Light Flyweight Championship of the World, the WBO Inter-Continental Flyweight Championship and the OBPF Light Flyweight Championship
