BORN January 10 1905; New Rochelle, New York HEIGHT 5-10 WEIGHT 132-140 1/2 lbs Flowers developed into a very good boxer after a mediocre and less than sensational start to his career; He usually won and only lost to top flight men; He was not a power hitter but was a capable boxer; After three and a half years of very good performances his fortunes began a downward slide; He was stopped for the first time in his seventh year of fighting
