Park was scrappy and carried a good punch; He is best known for his victories over Antonio Esparragoza and Eloy Rojas; During his career, he won the WBA Featherweight Championship of the World, the OPBF Featherweight Championship, the Featherweight Championship of Korea and the Super Bantamweight Championship of Korea

Yong-Kyun defeated such men as Antonio Esparragoza, Eloy Rojas, Ever Beleno, Tae-Shik Chun, Seiji Asakawa, Masuaki Takeda, Thanomchit Kiatkriengkrai and Cris Saguid
