Clark was a scrappy, capable battler; He lost 12 of 46 bouts and scored 20 knockouts; After an up-down start to his career, he attained a splendid way of fighting and was ranked among the best in his class; During his career, he won the EBU Flyweight Championship of Europe, the Flyweight Championship of the British Empire (Commonwealth) and the BBBC Flyweight Championship of Great Britain

Elky defeated such men as Kid Socks, "Young" Johnny Brown and Michel Montreuil

Nat Fleischer ranked Clark as the #6 All-Time Flyweight; Herb Goldman ranked Elky as the #10 All-Time Flyweight
