Farley was a clever boxer-type, not a power hitter; He was extremely good at defensive moves; Fighting in the time of "No Decision" bouts, his boxing skills are not adequately reflected
Frank was once referred to as, "... the cleverest boxer that appears on the boards in Baltimore. His defensive work is the finest that ever came down the pike, and in every particular he shows himself a master of the game"; He went on to become boxing coach at Johns Hopkins University
