McMahon
was a quick and clever scrapper who had an up-down career; He did not always win but
he always gave it his all; Danny knew all the tricks of the ring; As a trainer and
as a second in a bout, he
was invaluable; Danny's brother, Hughey, was a trainer of Oscar
"Battling" Nelson; Both Danny and Hughey contributed to Nelson's
ring style
