Parlov was a talented left-handed boxer who was not very exciting at times but was difficult to beat; He was not a power hitter but knew all the clever tricks of boxing; Parlov had a short professional career but experienced a long and highly successful amateur career; During his professional career, he won the WBC Light Heavyweight Championship of the World and the Light Heavyweight Championship of Europe

Aldo Traversaro, Christian Poncelet, Francois Fiol, Harold Skog, Miguel Angel Cuello, Tony Greene, John Conteh and Tony Mundine
