Palzer was not a polished boxer but was a big, strong, powerful man who could take out anyone when he landed his punch; His career was cut short when he was shot by his father during an argument; He was a White Hope of the teens

Among those he defeated during his career were "Sailor" White, Tom Kennedy, Al Kaufmann, Fred Fulton, and "Bombardier" Billy Wells
