The elder Weaver won world titles for the WBA, WBC, USBA, and NBA.Troy is one of three triplets, all boxers, and is very popular for theincredible power in his punches. Sebastian Valdez (21-4, with 7 ko's) returns to his third straight Lucky Eagle Fight Night against northwest favorite Tim Shocks for the NWBA(Northwest Boxing Association) Junior Middleweight 10 round title fight.Valdez defeated Calvin Odom and Reggie Davis in his last two, both vicious bouts with unanimous decisions. Shocks (24 wins with 14 ko's) comes off a tough majority draw with the experienced Jaime de la Torre in November. Calvin Odom (13-6 with 9 ko's) will face Reggie Davis (9-2 with 5 ko's) in a six round matchup. While both fighters lost decisions to Valdez, "expect a war, because these are tough, fast, and accurate punchers with a lot ofpower", says Promoter Bennie Georgino. He was indeed the WBA Heavyweight Champion, winning it with a 15th round knockout of John Tate. In his only WBC title bout he was knocked out by Larry Holmes.
