PROVIDENCE, RI – Closing in on the final fight of his illustrious 20-year pro career, Vinny “The Pazmanian Devil" Paz (49-10, 30) is ready for “History in the Making,” Saturday, March 27, at 8:00 – 10:00 PM/ET airing live on CN8, The Comcast Network from Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket, Connecticut.

Former five-time former world champion Paz (49-10, 30 KOs), in quest of his 50th career victory, fights super middleweight Tocker “TNT” Pudwill (39-5, 14 KOs) in the 10-round main event, promoted by Jimmy Burchfield’s Classic Entertainment & Sports, Inc. (CES), in association with CN8 and Foxwoods Resort Casino.

“It’s weird looking at the fight poster knowing this is my last fight,” Paz said. “It’s the last time I’ll be busting my ass in the gym. I’ll never train like this again. Just working out won’t be anything like training at this level. It’s an odd feeling, but training has gone very well. I’m embracing the anticipation because this will never happen again.”

This sold out show is the first of a five fight CES-promoted series shown live in primetime on CN8 to 6.2 million homes from Maine to Maryland. Boxing fans nationwide can also view this historic event via CN8’s web site at www.CN8.TV. “History in the Making” will be broadcast in an East Coast market to more than 20 million homes, including live on CN8 in New England and Mid-Atlanta, Cox3 in Rhode Island (300,000) and Connecticut (150,000), Comcast Southeast, and Madison Square Garden (one-hour tape delay starting at 9 p.m.). CES also hopes to reach and agreement for the show’s International broadcast rights.

IWBF light welterweight champion Jaime “The Hurricane” Clampitt (12-2, 4 KOs) defends her IWBF crown for the first time in the 10-round co-feature against highly rated Lanie Ellis (9-1, 3 KOs), also being contested for the new NABA championship.

Also scheduled to be on the card is WBC Youth middleweight title-holder “Bad” Chad Dawson (14-0, 10 KOs), of New Haven (CT), as well as Peabody (MA) light heavyweight Wayne “Lights Out” Johnsen (3-0, 2 KOs) versus Naseem Deen (2-2), of Brooklyn (NY), and Woonsocket (RI) junior middleweight Reynaldo Rodriguez (3-0, 2 KOs), making his CES debut.
