Oregon’s West Portland Boxing Team hosted a USA 7-1 victory over Canada in April, (results follow) and is now preparing to take on Las Vegas, Nevada. May 21st at the Chinook Winds Casino in Lincoln City, Oregon. The top amateurs from Las Vegas are matched with Portland's top amateurs including two women's bouts. The bouts start at 7pm. 1. 118 lbs, 15-16 years, Brandon Sparks Kenny Christian, USA of Hillsboro,OR won by Retirement in the second round over Brandon Sparks of Canada.
2.119 lbs, Female seniors, Gabriella Barragan, USA of Hillsboro, OR won a 3/2 decision over Lydia Walczak of Canada.
3. 132 lbs, Open Seniors, Jason Sanders 132 Braulio Lopez, USA of Portland, OR won over Jason Sanders of Canada by walkover.
4. 152 lbs, Open Seniors, Jason Marquoit , USA of Portland, OR won by 4/1 decision over David Petryk of Canada.
5. 146 lbs, Female Seniors, Renita Roscoe, USA of Portland, OR won over Danniele Quee of Canada by 5/0 dec.
6. 163 lbs, Open Seniors, Roger Cantrell, USA of Puyallup, WA won a 3/2 decision over Pouyan Abedini of Canada.
7. 165 lbs, Open Seniors, Darcy Hinds of Canada won by 5/0 decision over Andrei Iusco, USA of Tacoma, WA
