Kushner re-signs McCline

New York, NY - Jameel "Big Time" McCline, one of the hottest contenders in the heavyweight division, has been re-signed to an exclusive, multi-year promotional agreement with Cedric Kushner Promotions, it was announced today by CKP president Cedric Kushner.

McCline, who is the mandatory challenger in the IBF, is designated to fight the winner of the Chris Byrd-Andrew Golota rematch.

The native of Port Jefferson, New York, has an outstanding ring record of 31-3-1, including 19 victories by way of knock out. He is coming off a sensational first round victory over Wayne Llewelyan on April 15 at the Hammerstein Ballroom. McCline is unbeaten in 29 of his last 30 bouts, including wins over Michael Grant, Lance Whitaker and Shannon Briggs. The only loss during that streak was in a WBO World Championship title fight against Wladmir Klitschko.

The three successive upsets over Grant, Whitaker and Briggs in 2001-2002 catapulted McCline to the top of the division.

"Jameel is unquestionably one of the top heavyweights in the division, and on a collision course to win the world heavyweight championship," said Kushner. "I am pleased that CKP will continue as his exclusive promoter."
