Troy Weaver (20 Wins, 20 KO's) Faces Greg Wright (Never Been Knocked Down) in Main Event
Was Troy Weaver afraid of fighting Greg Wright on July 31st at the Lucky Eagle Casino? Well, behind the scenes Wright was in Weavers face'wondering' why Weaver was 'afraid' to fight just because Wright was over weight by a mere 3 pounds. Promoter Bennie Georgino was quoted "threepounds is not that big a deal for a big guy....". Weaver seemed toembarrass himself by the decision and is determined to "show up" onSeptember 18th. Weaver has 20 wins and 20 knockouts and Wright is 20-11-0 and has never been knocked down. Weaver is very popular for his powerful early round knockouts, but he may be hearing some boos from the fans this time out.
Heavyweight favorite Chauncy Welliver faces Joseph Kiwanuka in a 6 roundpreliminary bout with the winner fighting for a NWBA Title shot at formerWorld Heavyweight Champ Tony Tubbs.
Michael Lucero returns in an eight round welterweight battle against undefeated SeanPleses (7-0). Lucero (8-7-1) has two impressive wins at the past two Lucky Eagle fights.

Former World Heavyweight Champion Mike WeaverTo Watch Brother TroyFight at Lucky Eagle Casino Sept. 18th
Mike "Hercules" Weaver, the former WBA/WBC World Heavyweight Champion will attend Fight Night 47 at the Lucky Eagle Casino, according to legendarypromoter Bennie Georgino. "I talked to Mike last week in L.A., where hereceived an honorary award held by the Golden State Boxing Association. He said he was coming to see brother Troy face Greg Wright in the 10 round main event."
Georgino said he is a "really nice guy and he will probably love to give autographs to the fight fans." Weaver was to attend the Lucky Eagle fights in February, but had to cancel. "He is very excited to see Troy fight and there will not be any controversy this time", Georgino said. Troy Weaverdeclined to fight Greg Wright in March, because Wright was three pounds over the weight limit.
Mike Weaver had a 40-18-1 record with 28 knockouts and battled the likes ofLennox Lewis, Michael Dokes, James Tillis, Larry Holmes, and many others and was know for his powerful punches. Younger brother, Troy, has gained areputation for being one of the hardest punchers in the world.
