N.E. Ringside Boxing Radio Show celebrates 1st anniversary Thursday, Jan. 6

BOSTON (January 5, 2005) – New England Ringside Boxing Radio Show celebrates its first anniversary tomorrow might (Jan. 6) with the broadcast of its 55th show on WWZN 1510 The Zone in Boston.

The two-hour show airs every Thursday night between 6-8 pm (ET) on 1510 AM and may also be heard live on the Internet by going to www.newenglandringside.com. Tomorrow night’s scheduled guests include ESPN2 Friday Night Fights blow-by-blow announcer Joe Tessitore, unbeaten Irish middleweight prospect John Duddy (7-0, 7 KOs), and a representative of “The Contender” reality television show.

Ted Bodenrader, Anthony Pepe, Rick Brutti and Joe Bills are the radio shows regular hosts. New England Ringside also publishes a monthly magazine, hosts a popular web site, and owns Fightography (sells classic boxing pictures).

“We’re proud to be recognized as the No. 1 boxing radio show in New England and one of the best in the country,” New England Ringside president Rick Brutti said. “Our goal has been to help bring boxing back to its former prominence, building it to the same level as mainstream sports, through New England Ringside’s radio show, as well as our magazine and web site.”
