MERILLVILLE, IND.-Boxers meet beauties at 7 p.m. Jan. 18, 2005 when Hooters plays host to the Midwest's hottest fighters at the press conference for "Slug Fest 2005", the next pro boxing event from One in a Million, Inc.

Hooters has become one of the boxing teams strongest supporters, hosting press conferences for two of One ina Million's top-selling events last year.

"More and more businesses are asking to host these pre-fight events, but we chose Hooters for its strong reputation, its atmosphere and its reputation for customer service," said One in a Million, Inc. CEO Octavius James. "Hooters strong sports theme make it an ideal location to support our events."

The Jan. 21 "Slug Fest 2005", at the Radisson Hotel at Star Plaza, in Merrillville, IN will feature IN.B.A. Lightweight Champion Johnny Novak, of Hammond, in his first defense of the belt he won last September. Chicago Middleweight prospect Michael "Midnight Stalker" Walker returns to the ring after his decisive internationally televised victory over David Estrada in October.

Gary, Ind., knockout artist Angel Hernandez, and Hammond Light Welterweight Ruben "Modern Day Warrior" Galvan will also step into the ring in separate fights.

"Slug Fest 2005" will also introduce hot Chicago Super Welterweight Trinidad Garcia and Featherweight Ivan Rodriguez to Northwest Indiana.

One in a Million’s show last November sold out quickly, with many fans unable to buy tickets for the event, a sure sign of the teams growing popularity said Team member Jack Callahan. "We offer the best in boxing, and fans see that and want to be part of it," Callahan said. "And, with partners like Hooters, we look forward to building the biggest boxing audience ever in this area."
