Dominic Pesoli's 8 Count Productions and Miller Lite are proud to announce details of their March 2005 installment of "The Best in Chicago Boxing" on Friday, March 11 at the beautifully renovated Concordia Theater, 6134 W. Cermak in Berwyn, IL. Tickets, starting at $30 are available now by calling 312-226-5800. Doors will open at 7pm, first bell is scheduled for 8pm.

The main event of the evening will feature a ten round welterweight cross-town showdown betweenKO artist Luciano "El Gallo Bravo" Perez, 12-1 (11KO's) and Germaine "Silky" Sanders, 23-3 (17KO's) in a ten round battle.

Chicago favorite Perez is coming off a 5th round destructive knockout over veteran Grover Wiley last Friday night in St. Paul, Minnesota. Since losing a very close decision in an eight round brawl this past August to Juan Buendia at the Hawthorne Race Course, Perez has put his career back on track with three knockout wins. He was last seen in Chicago hammering Jerome Elder on December 10th with a first round stoppage at the Aragon Ballroom.

The crafty and exciting veteran Sanders has built a reputation over his six year career for his crowd pleasing skillful performances and has been a fan favorite in his career at the Park West Theater, Elgin's Grand Victoria Casino and De Paul's Alumni Hall. He holds win over tough veterans Andre Cray, Otilio Villareal, Leon Pearson, Leonard Townsend and most recently stopped Frey Luis Sierra in the first round last October.

Said Dominic Pesoli, President of 8 Count Productions, "Its a terrific crossroads matchup. Perez has brought the heat to the welterweight division with his huge knockout wins, he dominated Wiley up in St. Paul last Friday night. Sanders is a very skillful veteran who has faced and beaten some very tough competition over the last six years. The winner should truly advance his career onto bigger fights. We're thrilled to present this matchup for our fans as this type of fight really personifies what 8 Count Productions is all about."

Also appearing on this terrific evening of professional boxing are hot local prospects, bantamweight Francisco Rodriguez, 1-0 (1KO) super middleweight Ottu Holifield, 2-0 and light heavyweight John Roman William, 14-5 (7KO's). Also making his pro debut is newcomer Gabriel Navarro.

The Concordia Theater is located just minutes from the Stevenson expressway off the Harlem Ave or Cicero Ave. exits and from the Eisenhower expressway by using the Laramie Ave. or Harlem Ave. exit. For more information about the Concordia Theater, visit their website at www.concordia-ent.com.
