MERRILLVILLE, INDIANA - Carlos Tite and Mike Landini, who twenty years ago battled each other before overflowing crowds, will join up-and-comers IN.B.A. Lightweight Champion Johnny Novak and Light Welterweight Jermaine White at the press conference for "Date with Destiny" at the Hooter's Restaurant in Merrillville on Tuesday, March. 15th, 2005.

The press conference, which will also feature the following One in a Million, Inc. fighters: Hammond's Light Heavyweight Guy Solis; Middleweight "Marvelous" Shay Mobley of Chicago; and Middleweight Jimmy "The Fighting School Teacher" Holmes of Demotte. The press conference will begin at 7:00 P.M.

Novak will defend his IN.B.A. and Indiana State Lightweight titles in the Main Event of "Date with Destiny" on March. 25th at the Radisson Hotel at Star Plaza--also located in Merrillville, IN--while White will continue his march towards more televised bouts and a title in the Co-Main event of the evening.

Both Novak and White are drawing the same kind of attention that Tite and Landini drew in their epic fights years ago, said Octavius James, CEO of One in a Million, Inc. Tite and Landini drew overflow crowds to Northwest Indiana for their bout.

"I remember that fight, and I remember everyone was trying to get in to see that match-up," James said. "Tite and Landini put on a great show for the fans that night, much like Johnny and Jermaine has consistently done for our shows."

For Novak, the association with Tite and Landini means a chance to perform before two of his boxing idols.

"Both of those fighters are legends where I come from, so it's a great honor to prove my championship skills in front of them," Novak said.

White said talk of a possible Tite-Landini rematch has fighters across the Midwest thinking about the return of boxing glory to Northwest Indiana.

"Both Tite and Landini were crowd favorites because they put the fans first, and that's one of the things I focus on," White said. "With guys like Johnny Novak and me, One in a Million is breathing new life into the sport."
