Fans and Fighters Face Off at Legendary Langel's Pizzeria!
"Marvelous" Shay Mobley (L) will be appearing at the weigh-in
MERRILLVILLE, INDIANA - Langel's Pizzeria, 2833 Highway Ave. in Highland, IN, one of Northwest Indianas most popular restaurants, announced today it will host the official weigh-ins on Mar. 24 at 6:30 P.M. Date With Destiny, the action-packed "One In A Million Inc." card scheduled for Friday.
The weigh-ins will feature IN.B.A. and Indiana State Lightweight Champion Johnny Novak, of Hammond, who will defend his titles in the Main Event of "Date With Destiny." Up-and-coming undefeated Light Welterweight sensation Jermaine "Too Sweet" White, who will be featured in the Co-Main event of the night, will also be available to meet with fans at the weigh-ins.
Other fighters on the card, "Marvelous" Shay Mobley, Guy Solis and Jimmy "The Fighting Schoolteacher" Holmes will also meet the public at the event.
Additionally, Boxing legends Carlos "The Force" Tite and Mike "Choirboy" Landini, celebrating the 20th anniversary of their legendary fight, have been invited to the weigh-ins.
The weigh-ins offer sports fans another opportunity to meet the fighters and staff members of the Midwest's premiere boxing team, said Rodney Langel, owner of the region restaurant. "We have a great time with the fans and fighters from One In A Million, and they really help us continue to build our legacy in the area," Langel said. "We have a great restaurant, a great lounge and now the region's top professional athletes altogether in one place for our customers."
