CHICAGO, ILLINOIS - Chicago' native David Pareja, 3-1, will appear in a special six round light heavyweight attraction on Friday April 8th at the Aragon Ballroom as Dominic Pesoli's 8 Count Productions presents, 'Chicago Contenders', another installment of "The Best in Chicago Boxing" series.

Declaring himself more then ready to get back in the ring, Pareja spoke about making his Chicago debut next Friday night, "I'm super excited to be fighting in Chicago on the 8 Count Productions card and thrilled to get back to real boxing instead of the reality show stuff." Pareja was a finalist on FOX-TV's "The Next Great Champ" reality boxing series last fall losing a very controversial decision in the finals.

After an illustrious amateur career, the 27 year old Pareja wants to get busy and stay busy and is looking for a quick move though the prospect ranks in 2005.

Said Dominic Pesoli, President of 8 Count Productions, "We're very happy to have David fight on our show next Friday. It's all part of our commitment to bring our great fans "The Best in Chicago Boxing." We've got a terrific evening planned with Miguel Hernandez coming back to the ring, and our newcomers, Frankie Tafoya, Donovan George and Rita Figueroa. Also Jose Andres Hernandez returns to the 8 Count ring."

David Pareja will also be appearing on the Pete McMurray radio show this Tuesday from 10am to 2pm on 105.9FM, WCKG.
