Winky Wright on N.E. Ringside Radio Show
Plus Hauser & DeMarco Thursday night, April 7

BOSTON (April 4, 2005) – World champion Ronald “Winky” Wright, along with award-winning author Thomas Hauser and former world welterweight champion Tony DeMarco, are this week’s special guests on New England Ringside Radio Show, Thursday night (6-8 PM) on WWZN 1510 The Zone.

The two-hour New England Ringside Boxing Radio Show – hosted by Ted Bodenrader, Anthony Pepe, Rick Brutti and Joe Bills -- airs every Thursday night between 6-8 pm (ET) on Boston’s Boxing Station, The Zone (1510 AM), and also may be heard live on the Internet by going to www.newenglandringside.com.

Wright (48-3, 25 KOs) will talk about his May 14 super fight versus Felix “Tito” Trinidad, as well as his career-changing victories against Shane Mosley. The shifty southpaw may also reminisce about, before defeating Mosley, what it was like being a relatively unappreciated world champ despite having beaten the likes of Angel Hernandez, Juan Carlos Candelo, and Bronco McKart three times.

Hauser arguably is the foremost contemporary writer in boxing. His boxing books include Muhammad Ali: His Life and Times, The Black Lights and The View From Ringside. Tom’s unique view on boxing today, including The Contender reality television series, also will be discussed.

DeMarco, April 1, celebrated the 50th anniversary of his world welterweight title-winning fight against Johnny Saxton (TKO143) at the Boston Garden. Tony will discuss boxing in his era compared to today, as well as a party April 30 commemorating the 50th anniversary of his win against Saxton.

New England Ringside also hosts a popular web site, publishes a monthly magazine, and owns Fightography (sells classic boxing pictures). For more information about New England Ringside call 617.835.9137 or go on line to www.newenglandringside.com.
