'Mighty Mike' Arnaoutis Fights Marco Angel Perez on May 20th!
It takes two to tango, and Cestus Management's light welterweight sensation "Mighty" Mike Arnaoutis finally has a dance partner for his May 20th return to the Showtime Network's ShoBox: The New Generation series: 21-6 (14) Marco Angel Perez.
Several names have been discussed over the past few weeks as possible opponents for the undefeated "Pride of Greece." In the end, however, the formidable Perez proved to be the only fighter who was ready and willing to step up to the plate and make the fight. A pro since 1996, Perez looks to provide yet another test for the fast-rising Arnaoutis.
"We're very excited to have this fight locked down," commented Advisor Mike Michael. "We're ready. 'Mighty' Mike is feeling good, he's looking great, and he's going to bring the same fire and electricity that's gotten him to where he is today. I've said before how great it feels to be back on Showtime and back on a Gary Shaw Productions fight card, and this latest news means that we have the final piece in place.
"May 20th is going to be a great night of action, and it's going to be another great win for 'Mighty' Mike. Mike had a tough fight the last time out, and he's going to be in with another tough fighter in this next one. We learn with every fight, we move forward, and we fully expect Mike to look better in this fight than he ever has before."
Arnaoutis vs. Perez will be broadcast live on the Showtime Network's ShoBox: The New Generation series, on Friday, May 20th, 2005, at 11pm ET.
