Vargas Opened Chicago Stock Exchange Today!
CHICAGO - To promote his upcoming junior middleweight battle this Saturday night with Javier Castillejo at Rosemont's Allstate Arena, Fernando Vargas rang the opening bell of the Chicago Stock Exchange at 8:30 a.m. to commence trading for the day's business.
Two-time jr. middleweight world champion Fernando Vargas returns to the 154 lb. division on August 20 when he battles in a 10 round main event bout against Javier Castillejo at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, IL. In the 12 round co-feature bout, undefeated WBC/IBF #1 ranked featherweight contender Rocky Juarez challenges WBC f#2 ranked contender Humberto Soto in a 12 round bout for the WBC-Interim Featherweight Championship.
Both bouts will be broadcast live on HBO's "Boxing After Dark" series, beginning at 10:15 P.M. ET and 9:15 pm. CT. Tickets, which start at $27, can be purchased by calling Ticketmaster at 312-559-1212.
