8 Count Production Signs Gilbert Venegas, Jose Hernandez and Mike Gonzalez!

CHICAGO, September 28, 2005 - 8 Count Productions has added three new team members to its growing stable of the finest boxers in Chicago, it was announced today by Dominic Pesoli, President of 8 Count Productions.

Welterweight Gilbert Venegas, 8-1-1 (5KO's) featherweight Jose Andres Hernandez, 18-2 (13KO's) and lightweight Mike Gonzalez, 2-0 (2KO's) have joined the terrific 8 Count Productions' team which includes world ranked junior middleweight Freddie Cuevas, welterweight KO artist Luciano Perez, middleweight Miguel Hernandez, and brothers Jimmy and Jorge Gonzalez.

Said Pesoli of the recent signings, "8 Count Productions is thrilled to have the three newest members join our team. Jose's one of the most popular fighters in Chicago. He's got great skills and we're looking for big things for him. Not many have seen Gilbert fight as he was off for a couple of years but he looked terrificin his first bout back against Henry Crawford on the Fernando Vargas under card. He was on early and Crawford was a very well thought of unbeaten prospect with a great amateur career. Gilbert took it right to him from the start and those who saw him we're thrilled by his warrior attitude in the ring."

"Mike Gonzalez is a kid who had a good amateur career, our matchmaker Jerry Alfano put him on our show in July against Tommy Bach which was a very tough guy to fight in his second pro start but he stopped him and looked great. All three kids are tough guys and they're not interested in fighting soft, that's why we signed them. Our loyal fan base expects great matchups and these kids will be a big part of that."

Continued Pesoli, "Gilbert's the co-main on our Latin Fire/SOLO BOXEO event on October 14th and Mike is also on the card. I think our fans are in for a real treat to see both of them. Jose will be in action in November, I'm working on that now."
