CBZ writer, Karl Hegman, wrote about this photo: "This is This is Jerry Quarry's youngest son, Jonathan. His mom sent this to me me yesterday. I've known the kid, though he's a man now, for several years and is a great young man.

He's proudly serving his country in the U.S. Army. He has always been into golfing and ROTC.

His mother, Tina, said of him, "He is my champ, and my hero."

Jerry Quarry, who amassed a record of 53-9-4 and 32 knockouts, was a rugged and dominant contender in one of the best heavyweight eras, the 70's, who ultimately fell short in key bouts versus Jimmy Ellis, Joe Frazier and Muhammad Ali .
