Briggs Fighting Koval, Chasing Peter!

Comebacking former linear heavyweight champion Shannon Briggs, 45-4-1 (39 KOs), has written a poem to continue his holiday season pursuit of fellow contender Samuel Peter. Although the fight with Peter is rumoured to already be in the works, Briggs, who is scheduled to face Ohio’s Chris Koval, 23-2 (18 KOs), for the USBA Heavyweight Championship on January 27 at the Miccosukee Resort & Gaming, Miami, Florida, says he will continue to goad the “Nigerian Nightmare” until he has no choice but to get in the ring. On Christmas Eve, Briggs and promoters Ckrush Sports and Entertainment released a photo of himself with the caption “all I want for Christmas is Sam Peter’s two front teeth.”

Twas the night before New Year’s, all quiet in the house.
Sam Peter is hiding out in Africa, like a scared little mouse.

Happy holidays to Kushner, Arum and King.
But I really wish Dino Duva would get me Sam Peter in the ring.

Sam Peter’s running scared, somebody check his vitals.
My resolution for 2006 is to be holding all the titles.

Sam Peter doesn't speak well, after I hit him, he'll get worser.
I promise I'll knock him out cold, like I did Ray Mercer.

While others run scared, I yearn for this fight.
Happy New Year to all, and to Sam Peter? Say good night.
