Euro-Beat Update: Axel Schultz Contemplating Comeback and More!

37-year old German heavy Axel Schulz is still thinking about coming back but his former manager Wilfried Sauerland states in the Hamburger Abendblatt it wonīt be with Sauerland Event.

When WBA # 9 supermiddle Lucien Bute arrived in Denmark to watch stablemate Eric Lucas take on WBA champ Mikkel Kessler he stated he wanted to fight Kessler inside a year. After Kesslerīs onesided stoppage win Bute and his manager Chris Ganutescu hadnīt changed: "Lucien is ready in a year" said Ganutescu. Bute next fights March 24 in Montreal against an opponent to be announced.

Spanish superbantam Kiko Martinez square off against Ukrainian Gennady Delissandru January 24 in Hamburg.

The winner of the fight between Michele Piccirillo and Lukas Konecny for the vacant EBU 154 lb title February 24 in Bergamo is lined up to fight local hero Luca Messi. In case Konecny wins he will make a voluntary defence in Prague and then face Messi while Piccirillo will go straight to this all-Italian showdown.

IBC jr light champ Janos Nagy may take on Russian Evgeny Strausov February 18 in Budapest.
