Vargas trying to get career back on track

Since being beaten by Felix Trinidad Jr. and Oscar De La Hoya, Fernando Vargas has not consistently displayed the attacking style that earned him the moniker "Ferocious."

Vargas claims the reasons are back problems and weight issues he has battled for years. Others believe Vargas could be finished after the 12th-round technical knockout loss to Trinidad in December 2000 and the 11th-round TKO loss to his hated rival, De La Hoya, in September 2002.
