Need Roadwork? LaSalle Bank Shamrock Shuffle Announces 'Last Call': Registration to Close Soon!

CHICAGO (February 21, 2006) - “ Registration for The LaSalle Bank Shamrock Shuffle 8K run and 5K walk to be held in Grant Park on Sunday, April 2, is nearing its registration cap of 25,000 participants. With the number of total entrants currently over 20,000, interested runners and walkers should submit their registration forms quickly in order to be included in this year's event.

Registration for The 2006 LaSalle Bank Shamrock Shuffle is significantly ahead of last year's pace and is filling up faster than ever in the history of the event. Organizers expect to close registration earlier than last year's March 16 close date due to the record number of registrants to date.

"The number of people who have completed registration at such an early date continues to illustrate the popularity of running and road racing in Chicago and is a compliment to the quality of our event," said Executive Race Director Carey Pinkowski. "Year over year we reach our registration caps for all of our events earlier “ this reinforces our belief that Chicago has become one of the strongest running cities in the U.S. We certainly hope that Chicagoans will stand behind the city's active running community and join us for the Race in Grant Park on April 2."

Interested participants may register online at www.shamrockshuffle.com or pick up an official registration form at Chicago area LaSalle Bank branch locations or local running stores.
