Annual Oregon Golden Gloves Tourney on March 3rd and 4th!
PORTLAND, Oregon – Burly and hardened fighters are coming to town en masse. They have one focus: to win and go onto Nationals.
Representing boxing clubs from the greater Northwestern states and Southwestern Canadian provinces, these amateur standouts are competing in the Annual Oregon Golden Gloves Boxing Tournament. Held March 3rd and 4th, the tournament will be take place at the Milwaukie Elks Lodge, located at 13121 S.E. McLaughlin Blvd.
Eliminations are on Friday, with finals on Saturday. In both cases, the bell for the first bout will ring promptly at 7:30 PM. Additionally, they will hold a huge raffle of boxing memorabilia—including autographed mementos of past and future champions.

In addition to providing an arena for boxers to test themselves and advance to Nationals, this event serves as a fundraiser. Monies raised will be used to send its winners to the Western Regional Golden Gloves—which will be held on April 7th and 8th in Las Vegas—and from there, onto the National Championships.
As Nationals serves as a direct feeder to the 2008 USA Olympic Team, the “hard road to Beijing starts right here" at the Oregon Golden Gloves. Don’t miss out on the action!
The Oregon Golden Gloves is a non-profit organization staffed entirely by volunteers. It has at its forefront the social mission of providing youth a viable alternative to gangs and drugs.
