OLDENBURG, Germany, March 4 - IBF middlweight champ Arthur Abraham clearly beat Australian Shannon Taylor and won on scores of 120-106, 120-107 and 120-107. There were no knockdowns but Taylor had a point deducted in the sixth for a low blow. Abraham had his opponent under pressure in the fourth but let him off the hook. Taylor seemed to have mind set more on survival than winning and that made it difficult for Abraham.

Cruiser Marco Huck stopped experienced Brit Lee Swaby, who didnīt come out for the seventh due to a shoulder injury. Huck got a good learning fight from Swaby but was clearly ahead on points when his opponnent pulled out.

IBF I/C heavy champ Henry Akinwande won over Cisse Salif over twelve rounds. It was scored 118-109,119-108 and 116-110. Salif was floored in the third.

Heidi Hartmann kept the WIBF jr middle title with a shutout win over Bulgarian Borislava Ivanova over ten.

Russian David Gogiya upset Croatian Stjepan Bozic and won a majority decision over eight. Bozic took a standing eight count in the second and another in the fourth after a clash of heads. He should have gotten a time out after that but the ref apparently thought the cut was caused by a punch and counted.

Russian heavy Alexander Povetkin took out Richard Bango in the second with a big left hook.

There were about 4000 spectators in the sold out Ewe Arena. Sauerland Event promoted.
