Photo of the Day: Poster of Hernandez vs. Marquez
KINDER, Louisiana - Here's a photo of the poster for the upcoming bout between returning Raul "El Diamante" Marquez, 35-3 with 24 knockouts, versus "Macho" Miguel Hernandez, 19-3 with nine knockouts.
The two will fight on April 29th at the Coushatta Casino and Resort in Kinder, Louisiana.
Marquez won the Vacant IBF Light Middleweight Title over Anthony Stevens in April 1997 by technical knockout in the ninth round and lost it to Yory Boy Campas in December of the same year by TKO in the eighth round. He was also stopped in the ninth round against Fernando Vargas when he sought tor reclaim the title in July 1999. In his last bout, Marquez was stopped by current WBC, WBA and WBO Middleweight Title holder Jermain Taylor in a contest for the World Boxing Council Continental Americas Middleweight Title on June 19, 2004.
In his last bout, Hernandez won the World Boxing Council's U.S.A Middleweight Title by majority decision over Ryan "Dangerous" Davis on February 10, 2006.
