Two-Time Heavyweight Champion Riddick Bowe to fight at Chinook Winds Casino Resort June 3rd
LINCOLN CITY, Oregon – Professional boxing returns to Oregon at Chinook Winds Casino Resort’s Commotion at the Ocean VII on Saturday, June 3. This annual event will be affordable and fun. For as little as $30 boxing fans watch professional boxing at it’s finest. The Main Event will feature the former two-time Heavyweight Champion of the World, Riddick “Big Daddy” Bowe, from Brooklyn, NY. 42 wins, only 1 loss w/ 33 KO’s in a 10 round Heavyweight bout. Bowe’s opponent will be “Rockin” Ron Bellamy of New Bern, NC. Bellamy has 14 wins, 5 losses, 4 draws w/ 9 KO’s. Bellamy, a very gifted athlete, is a former professional basketball player, who stands 6’7” and weighs 250lbs. Bellamy is also the younger brother of the famous NBA legend Walt Bellamy.
There will be 2 co-main events on this year’s card. The first will be a 10 round bout featuring Portland’s own Reggie Davis, 15 wins, 3 losses w/ 7 KO’s in a Junior Middleweight bout against an opponent TBA soon. The second co-main features one of the cards’ best match –ups as Portland’s Marcus Pernell, 11&1, 6 KO’s takes on Washington D.C.’s Jarrell Jackson, 7&4 w/ 2 KO’s in an 8 round light- Heavyweight bout. Three more bouts will round out the six bout card featuring Oregon’s best boxing talent. Commotion at the Ocean VII is Saturday, June 3 at Chinook Winds Casino Resort on the beach in Lincoln City, Oregon. Chinook Winds is owned and operated by the Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians.
