After an absence of almost twenty months from the ring as a boxer, Oscar De La Hoya (#28, 360 pts at 160lbs) returned with a magnificent performance, stopping Ricardo Mayorga (#2, 2000 pts at 154lbs) in the sixth round of a WBC super welterweight titlefight at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on Saturday.

De La Hoya clearly was the much better fighter, dominating Mayorga with his jab and power.
