Euro-Beat Update: Colliander to Face Hoffman & More!

Swedish heavy Aldo Colliander has accepted an offer from Sauerland Event to take on big German Timo Hoffmann over eight rounds on the undercard to Valuev vs Beck on Saturday (June 3) in Hannover. Hoffmann was originally to have fought Miyan Solomons.
Spanish jr middle Pablo Navascues, who was to have challenged WBA I/C champ Reda Zam Zam in Aarhus June 9 have been forced to pull out with a possible broken nose. Promoter Bettina Palle expects to have a replacement for Navascues this week. Zam Zam is currently in Copenhagen sparring with Junior Witter. Also off the Aarhus bill is welter Thomas Damgaard.
Elite Boxing´s Friday Night Fights at the Blue Box in Potsdam goes ahead June 2 with heavyweight Edgar Kalnars on top in a scheduled eight-rounder taking on Mario Schmidt. There are all in all eight fights on the bill. The next FNF show won´t be until July 14 due to the World Cup in football (soccer).
