Taylor & Wright Apparently have the 'Right Stuff,' on Target with 7 Day Weigh-Ins!

WORLD BOXING COUNCIL NEWS
June 13, 2006 - Mexico City.

From WBC President Jose Sulaiman:

In preparation for their fight on Saturday, Jermain Taylor and Winky Wright both successfully passed the WBC's mandatory seven-day weigh-in.

Both middleweight world champion Taylor and No. 1 ranked mandatory challenger Wright complied satisfactorily with the mandatory weight established by the WBC Rules at their seven-day weigh-in previous to their upcoming fight on Saturday 17. This weigh-in ceremony was held on June 9 in Memphis, Tennessee.

The respective reports sent to the WBC Executive Office by Mr. Luis Escalona, WBC Weigh-In and Medical Compliance Supervisor, certify that on June 9, champion Taylor weighed 168 pounds, while Wright weighed 167 pounds. One day after the weigh-in, promoters Lou DiBella and Gary Shaw forwarded this information to Mr. Escalona.
