Euro-Beat Update: Branco-Siaca, Piccirillo-Messi & More July 27th!

OPI 2000, headed by Salvatore Cherchi, have announced a very big show scheduled for Milano July 27 with one interim WBA and three EBU titlefights on the bill.

At lightheavy Silvio Branco and Manny Siaca duke it out for the interim WBA crown. At jr middle EBU ruler Michele Piccirillo take on Luca Messi in an all Italian clash. EBU welter champ Frederik Klose defends the title against former WBO titleholder Giovanni Parisi and finally EBU lord of the flies, Ivan Pozo from Spain square off against Andrea Sarritzu. This will be the first PPV show in Italy.

In more OPI 2000 related news Brit Junior Witter has relinquished the EBU 140 lb title with Giuseppe Lauri taking on Gianluca Branco for the vacant crown in another all Italian clash. Deadline for purse bids or agreements is July 15.

All three charged - EBU President and WBC-vice President Ruben Martinez Vazquez, Justo Vazquez Marcos and Margarita Rodriguez Modestina of the Spanish Federation - have been found not guilty of the charges brought against them by Spanish authorities in regards of money that was claimed to be "disappeared" from the Spanish Federation.
