Robert Morales: Karmazin enjoys a little payback to go with title

Roman Karmazin admits it. He enjoyed his one-sided victory over Kassim Ouma last July 14 that won him the International Boxing Federation junior middleweight belt a little more than he might have.

Sitting at ringside at the Las Vegas fight was Oscar De La Hoya, Ouma's promoter and president of Golden Boy Promotions. Karmazin was supposed to fight De La Hoya in 2001, but Karmazin didn't get to bask in the limelight that comes with a fight with De La Hoya because De La Hoya pulled out with a hand injury.
